Disney CEO Bob Iger tells employees wants them to return to office four days a week

Walt Disney CEO Bob Iger reportedly sent an internal memo asking employees to return to work in the office.

"Employees currently working in a hybrid fashion will be asked to spend four days a week on-site, targeting Monday through Thursday as in-person workdays," Iger wrote in the memo, Bloomberg reported Tuesday.

The start date for the transition is set for March 1.

Iger, who returned to Disney in November, praised employees for their work, including how "Avatar: The Way of Water" became the seventh highest-grossing film ever and how ESPN responded to Buffalo Bills cornerback Damar Hamlin’s cardiac arrest.

"As I’ve been meeting with teams throughout the company over the past few months, I’ve been reminded of the tremendous value in being together with the people you work with," Iger said in an email to employees, first reported by CNBC.

More companies are trying to return to in-person work after the pandemic. In November, Apple asked employees to come back to the office at least three days a week. That same month, Twitter's new owner, Elon Musk, asked employees to return to full-time work on-site.
