Elon Musk’s neurotechnology company comes under federal probe – what a coincidence

There’s little argument that Donald Trump is the most persecuted man in modern American history, being targeted on multiple fronts at the state and federal level, where the power of the U.S. government in the form of the Justice Department and the House of Representatives has been deployed against him, not to mention the buy-in from the U.S. intelligence apparatus — the behemoth effort has yet to prove a single crime.

That being said, Elon Musk may soon find himself in comparable environs. The world’s richest man has become Public Enemy #1 on the left after acquiring Twitter and endeavoring to offer a level playing field for all. Free speech is not as popular to some in America as you may think. Musk further incited the left last week when he released the “Twitter files,” confirming that company executives actively engaged in election interference by censoring the Hunter Biden laptop story — with a hardy assist from the FBI.

In what may be an early salvo in a long battle, Reuters is reporting that Musk’s company Neuralink is under investigation by federal agencies for alleged animal welfare violations.

The neurotechnology company that Musk co-founded is developing brain implants that could help paralyzed people walk again and help cure other neurological issues. The news agency said the federal probe was prompted by “sources” who reported violations of the Animal Welfare Act.

More from Reuters:

“Neuralink, a medical device company, is under federal investigation for potential animal-welfare violations amid internal staff complaints that its animal testing is being rushed, causing needless suffering and deaths, according to documents reviewed by Reuters and sources familiar with the investigation and company operations. […]

“The federal probe, which has not been previously reported, was opened in recent months by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Inspector General at the request of a federal prosecutor, according to two sources with knowledge of the investigation. The probe, one of the sources said, focuses on violations of the Animal Welfare Act, which governs how researchers treat and test some animals.”

The precise timing of the investigation is unclear, but the timing of the news coincides with this recent tweet from Musk declaring that the Neuralink device “is ready for humans” and will now need to work through “the FDA approval process.”

Either way, it comes amid an atmosphere where President Biden recently suggested that Musk should be investigated.

Biden was asked by a reporter last month if Musk was “a threat to U.S. national security,” and if his “joint acquisition of Twitter with foreign governments, which include the Saudis,” should be investigated.

“I think that Elon Musk’s cooperation and/or technical relationships with other countries is worthy of being looked at,” Biden replied. “Whether or not he is doing anything inappropriate, I’m not suggesting that. I’m suggesting that it worth being looked at. And — and — but that’s all I’ll say.”

The world has already seen what the deep state can do to a sitting president in Donald Trump, so Musk had better gird his loins for a potentially long, drawn out battle with the powers that be.
