“Twitter is both a social media company and a crime scene.”
Those are the words of Twitter’s new Chief, billionaire Elon Musk, who, along with his stable of trusted journalists, is continuing to rock the world with revelations about the back-of-the-birdhouse machinations that led to the permanent ban of former President Donald Trump and the FBI’s direct involvement in censoring the Hunter Biden laptop story in the weeks leading up to the 2020 presidential election.

The still-unfolding “Twitter Files” — now in its fourth part — has not only served as vindication for the millions of Twitter users who instinctively knew they were being “shadowbanned” and censored for their political beliefs, it has caught the eye of House GOP officials, who have vowed to dig deep into the shady foreign business deals of first son Hunter Biden and the potential criminal involvement of “the Big Guy,” President Joe Biden when Republicans retake control of the House in January.
According to the incoming chairman of the powerful House Oversight Committee, Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.), he has already approached Musk about testifying before the panel.
“I have reached out to Elon Musk through backchannels to tell him that we would love for him to come before the committee,” Comer told the New York Post. “I’m pretty confident he’s going to provide more information, but he is welcome to come before our committee.”
Comer, as American Wire News reported earlier this month, told Fox News’s Jason Chaffetz after the first installment of the Twitter Files that he would offer any Twitter employee who participated in the process of censoring the laptop story the “opportunity” to testify before the Oversight Committee.

Speaking to The Post, Comer said, “We will roll out the red carpet for Elon Musk.”
“He’s doing a great service to the Oversight Committee and America by disclosing all of the emails and correspondence between the Biden campaign and the Democratic National Committee and Twitter,” he added.
In an October 28 letter to Musk, Comer asked the Twitter CEO to preserve all documents relevant to his probe.
“Republicans on the Committee . . . urge you to reverse the pattern of censoring certain news and views,” he wrote. “This includes ending the practice employed by Twitter’s previous leadership of prioritizing its own worldview over freedom of speech and information.”
The invite to Twitter’s former top brass was not nearly as welcoming.
Vijaya Gadde, the former head of legal, policy, and trust; ex-Global Head of Trust & Safety Yoel Roth; and general counsel Jim Baker, whose previous gigs were at the Department of Justice (DOJ) and FBI all received formal letters from Comer on Tuesday, demanding their presence before the committee.
“Your testimony will provide the Committee critical context regarding the Twitter censorship team’s decision to prohibit users from sharing information about a presidential candidate,” Comer wrote to Baker, who was marched out of Twitter headquarters after it was revealed he was actually secretly censoring the first installment of the Twitter Files, written by journalist Matt Taibbi.

“He is a very important person in this investigation,” Comer said of Baker. “What I want to know is who told you that this was Russian disinformation? Did you all just make this up, or was the FBI involved? Who within the Biden campaign specifically was the one that was advising you on this?”
Meanwhile, back on Twitter, Musk has been teasing users about his next explosive move.
“The bots are in for a surprise tomorrow,” he promised.
“The bots/trolls generate fake activity, so Twitter may seem a little less lively, but actually it’s just that the fakery is gone,” he stated in a second tweet.
And, in the very early hours of Sunday morning, he stated, “Now things get spicy.”
