On Wednesday, America First Legal filed a discrimination lawsuit against the International Business Machines Corporation’s (IBM) subsidiary, Red Hat. This comes after an expose by O'Keefe Media Group.

The law firm charges that Red Hat has engaged in Civil Rights violations by allegedly engaging in discriminatory employment and termination practices against white males.

The lawsuit was filed on behalf of Allan Kingsley Wood, a white male and former Red Hat employee who was serving as a Senior Director at the company until he was terminated due to alleged anti-white male discrimination.

Wood claimed that Red Hat used illegal anti-white and anti-male hiring practices to make Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) quotas.

In 2021, Red Hat recruited a DEI Chief Executive Officer to oversee programs aimed at diversifying the organization, including the implementation of employment quotas targeted at attaining diversity goals by illegally considering race as a deciding factor for employment and progress, according to the suit.

Wood argued in the suit that Red Hat executives and managers complained to him and other employees about the lack of diversity in the workforce and that future employment decisions would be based on race and gender.

The suit states that Wood was vocal about his opposition to the DEI policies and advocated for hiring based on skill and merit.

Red Hat revealed their "Bold DEI Goals," which included quotas, during a kickoff event in Texas.

Red Hat aimed to change the makeup of its workforce by 2028, with a target of 30 percent female employees worldwide and 30 percent associates of color in the US.

Two weeks after the event, Wood was informed by his manager that he was losing his job and his role had been eliminated, according to the suit, which claims that Wood had always been seen as an exemplary employee before he started voicing opposition to the DEI hiring policies.

Out of the 22 people terminated, 21 of them were reportedly white males, according to the suit.

Furthermore, IBM Chief Executive Officer and Board Chairman Arvind Krishna admitted to investigative journalist James O’Keefe’s OMG Media Group that they coerce employees to meet DEI quota goals through the threat of taking away bonuses.

“We will use every tool to hold IBM accountable,” said America First Legal on X. “We are proud to file this lawsuit to continue to fight corporate America’s destructive, illegal, and odious use of illegal DEI initiatives that are fundamentally anti-white, anti-male, and anti-equality.”
