Multiple prospective alternate jurors were dismissed on Friday, among which was one who worked on Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign and another who is close family friends with former 2024 presidential candidate Chris Christie.

According to Fox News, one woman "broke down crying and in tears because of the stress of the trial, she had served time in federal prison," and another prospective juror dismissed worked at the company that produces Michael Cohen’s podcast Mea Culpa.

Cohen is expected to be called as a witness in the trial and is alleged by Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg to have been paid by Trump through money listed as legal fees to pay porn star Stormy Daniels.

Another prospective juror said her father is "best friends" with former New Jersey Governor Christie.

According to NBC News, the six alternate jurors have been selected, closing jury selection in the case.
