"We have a big case today in the Supreme Court on presidential immunity. A president has to have immunity. If you don’t have immunity, you just have a ceremonial president."

Speaking in Manhattan Thursday morning where District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s falsified business records trial is set to continue, Trump spoke on the presidential immunity arguments the Supreme Court will hear later Thursday morning in DC.

"We have a big case today; this judge isn’t allowing me to go. We have a big case today in the Supreme Court on presidential immunity. A president has to have immunity. If you don’t have immunity, you just have a ceremonial president," Trump told reporters.

In the first day of the trial on April 15, Judge Juan Merchan said that Trump would not be allowed to attend the Supreme Court hearing in DC.

"Arguing before the Supreme Court is a big deal, and I can certainly appreciate why your client would want to be there, but a trial in New York Supreme Court … is also a big deal," Merchan said.

Merchan said that he would "see [Trump] here next week."

This is a breaking story and will be updated.
