At a Terry McAuliffe campaign event in Virginia on Friday, musician Pharrell Williams didn’t tell residents to vote for the Democrat gubernatorial candidate during the Nov. 2 election, instead urging Virginians to vote broadly.
“I’m not here to tell you to vote for a person or vote for a party,” Williams said. “I’m asking you to vote and be a part of the process of being a Virginian.”
“So again, when you go home, if you haven’t voted already, speak to your neighbor no matter what color they are, no matter what color they’re wearing. Speak to your fellow Virginian. That’s how we show love to one another,” he added later in his speech.
