Ex-President Donald Trump is not tired of winning, and as such, he is giving his supporters, and indirectly himself, credit for Republican Glenn Youngkin’s historic Virginia gubernatorial victory.
Trump endorsed Youngkin but there were no joint campaign appearances in the run-up to the voting. Given the possibility of a grandiose or abrasive remark by POTUS 45 combined with the way the corporate media tends to spin things in the most negative way possible, there was perhaps a behind-the-scenes agreement of some kind between the two camps to socially distance.
Joe Biden defeated Donald Trump in the Old Dominion state by 10 points in Election 2020, so direct involvement by Trump may not have been perceived as a value-add.
