Waukesha massacre arrestee Darrell Brooks made his first appearance at the Waukesha County Courthouse on Tuesday afternoon, facing five charges of first-degree intentional homicide after his red SUV rammed through groups of grandmothers and children at a Christmas parade.

Judge Kevin Costello set Brooks’ bail at the $5 million requested by prosecutors, referencing Brooks’ outstanding criminal cases and his inability to refrain from criminal activity while free from custody on bail.
