California Re-Sentences Scott Peterson to Life in Prison for Killing Wife Laci, Unborn Son Conner

California has overturned the death penalty for Scott Peterson, who was convicted of killing his wife Laci Peterson and their unborn son Conner, and re-senteced him to life in prison.

In 2005, Scott Peterson was sentenced to death for the murder of his eight-months-pregnant wife and little unborn baby boy.

In 2012, Peterson’s attorneys filed a 423-page appeal with the California Supreme Court claiming he is innocent and had nothing to do with the murders. In August, the California Supreme Court overturned his death penalty conviction, due to jury selection errors. But the murder convictions stand.
