When the Jacksonville Jaguars hired Urban Meyer to replace Doug Marrone as head coach in January, and drafted quarterback Trevor Lawrence with the number one overall pick, owner Shad Khan proudly proclaimed, “This time, I got it right.”
Khan couldn’t have been more off with his proclamation.
Meyer was fired early Thursday morning — just 13 games into his NFL head coaching tenure — with a record of 2-11.
