Former Vice President Dick Cheney visited the Capitol Thursday with his daughter, Rep. Liz Cheney, to mark the one-year anniversary of the Jan. 6, 2021 attack.

The two Cheneys and an aide were the only people on the Republican side of the House chamber during a morning commemoration event.

A few GOP senators released written statements acknowledging the attack.
