House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D.-Calif.) met with Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett in Jerusalem on Thursday and then released a statement in which she revealed that one of the topics they discussed was “climate change.”

“Our conversation focused on the dynamics of a new governing coalition in Israel, achieving enduring security and stability, the threat posed by a nuclear Iran, combatting the COVID-19 pandemic and the climate crisis,” said Pelosi.

Pelosi also said she and the congressional colleagues who traveled with her communicated to Bennett their support for a “two-state solution” with the Palestinians.
