Following another trite campaign stunt from Gov. Greg Abbott last week, angel parents in the state of Texas are speaking out about the crisis at the border caused in large part due to Abbott’s derelict leadership.

“Lives are tragically being lost and communities are being devastated because of the open border policies put in place by President Biden,” Abbott said at a Friday press conference.

“These lax policies invite crime and contraband into our communities because dangerous actors can more easily enter our country and wreak havoc on innocent families,” he added.

But certain angel parents, whose family members were murdered due to illegal alien terror pouring across the border, are saying that Abbott’s excuses and blame-shifting do not suffice.

“This sudden enthusiasm for the border and for immigration issues is just theater. It’s a bit too little, too late,” angel father Dan Golvach of Houston said.

Maria Espinoza, co-founder of Houston-based The Remembrance Project, noted her meeting with Abbott back in 2015 where she raised many border issues with him personally, urging him to sign an interstate compact to secure the border. Abbott let the crisis worsen for six years before finally heeding her advice.
