When asked if the United States should prohibit petroleum imports from Russia and if not why not, Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.) said, “We got our own oil, let’s dig our own oil.”

At the Capitol on Wednesday, CNSNews.com asked Sen. Tuberville, “Should the United States prohibit petroleum imports from Russia and if not why not?”

The senator said, “Oh yeah, no doubt. We’re funding their war right now against people that are our friends, a democracy, and we got NATO coming together.”
