Former Bernie Sanders supporter Joe Rogan has made it abundantly explicit why no one should ever conclude that he’s a member of the red team.

During a conversation with comedian Andrew Schulz, the influential Spotify podcaster called out “homophobic” Republicans such as Sens. Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz for allegedly being far less supportive of gay marriage than he is.

“It’s not just abortion rights– but now they’re going after gay marriage, too, which is so strange to me,” said the cage fight commentator, humorist, and free-speech advocate who has described himself as a socially liberal pragmatist.
