Florida Republican's Stern Message to Twitter Over Suspension: 'You Can't Silence Me Because I'm a Black Conservative'

The night before Tuesday’s primary elections, Twitter permanently suspended the account of a Florida Republican who is attempting to flip a U.S. House seat from blue to red.

“You can’t silence me… because I’m a black conservative,” the congressional candidate asserted about what he considers a civil rights issue.

Fortunately, Dr. Drew Montez Clark was unopposed, so there was no actual GOP primary for the 20th congressional district in the Fort Lauderdale area, and his account was subsequently reinstated after Twitter claimed the ban was the result of a so-called false positive.

Upon his account being revived, he declared in a message on the platform that “This is election interference, bordering on criminality.”

In an appearance on “Fox & Friends First,” Dr. Clark cast doubt on the explanation at a time of heightened interest in primary candidates generally during a discussion with early morning show’s co-host Todd Piro in the video clip embedded above.
