President Joe Biden repeatedly attacked former President Donald Trump during his speech on the anniversary of the Jan. 6 storming of the Capitol.

“What did we not see? We didn’t see a former President, who had just rallied the mob to attack, sitting in the private dining room off the Oval Office in the White House, watching it all on television, doing nothing for hours as police were assaulted, lives at risk, and the nation’s Capitol under siege.”

Biden characterized the storming as an “armed insurrection” composed of people who were looking to “deny the will of the people” and seeking to “overturn” a “free and fair election.”
