CNN Reports CBS's Chris Licht Will Be Network's Next President

CNN on Saturday announced who will replace Jeff Zucker as network president after the longtime executive resigned earlier this month after an internal investigation found he violated company policies.

The network reported that Chris Licht, who currently works for CBS’s “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” and previously worked for MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” would be the next president of CNN, less than a month after Zucker’s resignation.

According to Puck, which first reported the hiring, the acquisition of Licht is likely to officially be announced at, or ahead of, a special Discovery shareholders meeting on March 11.
