Ghost of John McCain: Crenshaw Goes off on Tucker for Having ‘Nerve to Even Criticize’ Biden on Afghanistan Withdrawal
U.S. Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-Texas) tore into Fox News host Tucker Carlson, asserting that he had no room to criticize President Joe Biden over his catastrophic pullout from Afghanistan because he did exactly what Carlson had called for.
The comment came as Crenshaw was discussing the escalating tensions surrounding Taiwan on his podcast “Hold These Truths” with Dan Blumenthal, a Senior Fellow at the American Enterprise Institute. The episode also covered isolationism and Biden’s craven retreat from terrorist-held Afghanistan one year ago.
Crenshaw drew comparisons between Taiwan and the rushed withdrawal from Afghanistan.
“The isolationists well — would indignantly suggest that, ‘Oh, so you wanna start a war just to prevent a future war that you’re not even sure is gonna happen.’ And my answer to them is always, ‘Well, the, the costs are coming either way. History tells us that over and over and over again.’ The costs get greater with further inaction,” he pointed out, concluding that our enemies are coming for us whether we are proactive or not in the military theater.
