Fox News Anchor Guts 'Fallacy' Narrative Biden Pushed for Months Over Record-High Gas Prices: 'The War Is Still Raging'

Fox News anchor John Roberts exposed the fallacy in President Joe Biden’s narrative that blames Russian President Vladimir Putin for high gas prices.

After Russia invaded Ukraine, Biden blamed record-high gas prices and even the inflation crisis on Putin, infamously dubbing the economic woes as “Putin’s price hike.”

Now that gas prices are dropping, however, the Biden administration is unashamedly taking credit for the drop, saying Biden is responsible for relief at the gas pump.

If Putin was responsible for gas prices skyrocketing, what does it mean, then, that gas prices are dropping despite the war in Ukraine still raging on? That was the question Roberts presented to senior Biden adviser Amos Hochstein.

“The war in Ukraine is still raging and prices are coming down. What about this idea that this was Putin’s price hike?” Roberts asked. “Many people say that’s a fallacy because the war is still raging and the prices are coming down.”
