Jan 6 Committee Star Witness Cassidy Hutchinson Worked on Behalf of Trump Months after Riot

The former Trump White House aide who on national TV gave critical first- and second-hand accounts of the former president’s action related to the Jan. 6 Capitol riot reportedly continued working on Trump’s behalf for nine weeks after he left office.

The Democrat-led House’s Jan. 6 star witness Cassidy Hutchinson served as a “coordinator” for Trump’s official, taxpayer-funded post-presidential office from roughly Jan. 20 to April 1 of 2021, according to government records obtained by the Insider news outlet.

Hutchinson earned an annualized salary of $90,000, the General Services Administration documents reportedly state. She worked for the “Presidential Transition Support Team, 2021 Outgoing Transition.”

The documents show Hutchinson continued to earn a government paycheck for work in support of Trump for about nine weeks after she witnessed or was told about his actions on Jan. 6, 2021, even as co-workers promptly resigned, Insider also reports.
