Far-Left Lawyers File Complaint on Sen. Cruz to Texas State Bar Over His Attempts to Overturn 2020 Presidential Election

A group of lawyers filed a complaint to the State Bar of Texas over Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) for his attempts to overturn the 2020 election, claiming he “played a leading role” in trying to change the election results.
The lawyers from the 65 Project, a group aiming “to hold accountable” lawyers who tried to overturn the 2020 election, asked for Cruz to be investigated and for sanctions to be placed on him for his role in several lawsuits to overturn the election results. The lawsuits mentioned in the complaint include Kelly v. Pennsylvania and Texas v. Pennsylvania, in which Cruz agreed to represent former President Donald Trump and Pennsylvania Republicans in litigation before the U.S. Supreme Court.
“Mr. Cruz played a leading role in the effort to overturn the 2020 elections,” the complaint reads. “And while the same can be said about several other elected officials, Mr. Cruz’s involvement was manifestly different.”
