Tom Brady, the 44-year-old Buccaneers quarterback pushed back his playing age limit to 55 years old before leading his team to a 28-22 Thursday night win over the Eagles.
“I really think I can play as long as I want,” Brady said on Storm and Kremer, who call Thursday night games for Amazon Prime. “I could literally play until I’m 50 or 55 if I wanted to. I don’t think I will obviously … my physical body won’t be the problem. I think it’ll just be, I’m missing too much of my life with my family.”
Brady has previously kicked around the idea of playing till he’s 50, though this is the first time he has mentioned the possibility of pushing that back another half decade. He has another year left on his contract in Tampa Bay and has said he would re-evaluate at that point.
