Twitter Stops Censoring Epoch Times Content after Outcry

Twitter has halted its censorship of content from The Epoch Times following a flood of public criticism.

Links posted on the social media platform were working properly on July 30.

It’s unclear when the change was made by the technology company.

Earlier in the week, Twitter users who attempted to click on an Epoch Times link on the platform were told that the link “may be unsafe.”

“The link you are trying to access has been identified by Twitter or our partners as being potentially spammy or unsafe,” Twitter said.

The link could be “malicious” and attempting to steal personal information, “spammy” and trying to mislead people, “violent or misleading,” or otherwise in violation of Twitter rules, according to the warning.
