President Joe Biden coughed into his hand after giving a speech at the NJ Transit Meadowlands Maintenance Complex in Kearny, New Jersey, on Monday, and then proceeded to shake people’s hands with the hand that he coughed into.
“Footage from the event showed the president coughing on his hand as he departed his podium. He proceeded to extend it with a look of amazement on his face before walking off the stage to greet officials in attendance,” Mediaite reported. “He quickly shook hands with at least three men — all of whom were wearing face masks — before shaking hands and clasping the shoulder of a fourth.”
Fox News noted that the incident came less than a week after Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas “tested positive for COVID-19 just days following an event with the president.”
